Quilting 4 a cause

Quilting has been an amazing escape while isolating at home, and it has been amazing to start (and finish) so many projects!! I recently kicked off a sweet little throw blanket with scrappy navy hearts on a white background.

Something you may not know about me is that 'gift-giving' is one of my favourite things to do, so when I'm sewing, it makes me happiest to think about who I will give my project to. This one felt different. I started to think about how I wish I could give it to all the people who are out there facing, and improving the pandemic situation, so I may yet eat a real Margherita pizza in Naples.

Then it hit me! What if I auction it off?! What if, someone gets to love the quilt, and we could do something to positively impact the situation too?!

So, what do you reckon? Who should we donate to? Where would the money make the most impact? How should we run the auction? I'm thinking of just doing a post on Facebook, and people can comment with their bid, like a silent auction?

I won't be setting up the auction until the quilt is ready to go, but it would be great to get more people aware. Let's make this thing blow up, and raise as much as we can!!! 💙
